Alex Mumzhiu: Phnom Penh is considered to be the Paris of South East Asia. They really have something from the Paris here: French planning of the streets and good coffee, also menu in restaurant in French, however there are no forks, chopsticks only. But this Paris require a lot of stomach.... full message

Alex Mumzhiu: My friend Howard Wrathal was born in England, works for United Airlines as a stuard, married a Japanese women and lives in Narita. I know him from 1994, when we did scuba diving together in Thailand. He is very good travel partner because as a stuard he knows how to treat people.... full message

Alex Mumzhiu: I would recommend everybody who will stop here in Phnom Phen this remarkable restaurant - Ponlok on the bank of Mekong river. Food is wonderful, choice is incredible. The thick, slightly soiled menu book contain 200 items with color pictures of all dishes. Price $2-3-5. Also, they treat you like a royalty.... full message

Alex Mumzhiu: I am in Saigon now. It took me 10 hours and $8 to get here from Phnom Phen. I do not understand how they can keep price so low. The damage to minivan from hitting road with bottom of the car should considerably exceed $80 they collected from 10 passengers. When you get to Vietnam from Cambodia it is like to Western Europe from Cheliabinskaia Oblast. (Russia).... full message

Alex Mumzhiu: I moved to backpackers ghetto, and feel very comfortable here. There are more then a dozen of Internet cafes here, hotels, restaurants and travel agencies specializing on backpackers. I took two day trip to Mekong delta. Mekong is serving as a garbage dump.... full message

Alex Mumzhiu: Today I went on a trip to the Perfume Pagoda, a famous Buddhist temple (Chinese influenced, unlike Champa, which is Indian influenced). There was a thick crowd of worshipers, who did not respect the temple in our western way, they ate, drank, and smoked in the temple. They threw garbage on the floor too. However they probably do not consider this wrong.... full message

She showed on the floor, there was no garbage can on the train. When people in my rail car finished breakfast (it was included in ticket price) they throw away plastic caps.... full message

At the last day in Luang Probang, I was invited to wedding party of brother of guesthouse (where I stay) owner. There was a lot of ethnical stuff there. I was tying the rope on the bribe hand, which should bring joy and happiness to new family and also guarantee from divorce.... full message
